Pond Cottage is a converted stable close to the main house but standing in the most magnificent setting. The cottage is only a few feet from a large pond that is about 100 metres long and 4m deep in the middle. It is fed by four freshwater springs and is the head of the Twyford Brook. Coast at Poole 32 minutes drive.  

25 acres of land surround the house and cottage and the rolling fields around us are normally grazed by sheep. There are foxes, badgers, deer, buzzards and rabbits everywhere and amazing flowers in the spring. Backing on to us is National Trust land (Melbury Hill) and many footpaths around us. Pond cottage has a small garden area and you may to walk over the fields or wood if you wish. Pubs 2 miles.

The cottage contains two attractive bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other has a double bed. Each bedroom has its own modern en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath. The small sitting room has lovely views of the lake and rolling hills. It has freeview television. The tiny galley kitchen has a little fridge with ice-box and a four-ringed gas hob, toaster, electric kettle, microwave and a separate roasting/grilling ovenette. (no large oven but ovenette can cope with a chicken). You have an additional full size gas oven with 4 rings and grill, refrigerator with ice box, dishwasher and automatic washing machine in the laundry room (access through the second bedroom or from outside). The cottage has oil-fired central heating.
