About Bakers Mill Holiday Cottages, Beaminster

Located within Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Bakers Mill is an early 17th century working farm covering 200 acres.

Our cottages surround a courtyard featuring a rill and small wildlife pond. They comprise a Grade 2 listed stone barn sleeping 6, and 4 adjoining cottages sleeping 3 in one, and 2 in each of the others. We can accommodate from 2 to 15 visitors plus cots and extra chair bed for small children. We have a Games room in the courtyard with wireless internet, table tennis, table football, snooker, darts, board games, books and toys for small children.A laundry with tumble drier and ironing facilities provided next to the Games room.

Dogs are very welcome; there are some great walks for them right from the door of your cottage.

Coarse fishing is available nearby in our own lakes and there is a Games room on site.

The farm is a haven for wildlife; deer can be seen grazing near the cottages, and there is a variety of wild animals, including otters and water voles. Many bird species can also be viewed in and around the farm. The clear night skies dazzle with stars. Our cottages are perfect for those looking for  peaceful, relaxing surroundings to unwind and take a break.

The local village is about 15 minutes walk and has a village shop with post office. The local pub (both child and dog friendly) serves very good food at reasonable rates and is about 2 miles away down a lovely quiet country lane.

Within easy driving distance is the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, numerous market and coastal towns such as Beaminster, Bridport, Dorchester and Lyme Regis.

Our cottages have a rustic charm. They are spacious, homely, and have fully fitted kitchens that are well equipped. We have very comfortable beds throughout. Information folders and maps in each cottage along with welcome trays.Threshers Barn has a full size cot, high chair and a stair gate. We have a travel cot with extra thick mattress and a high chair available for use in the other cottages. We also have a chair bed suitable for a toddler, for which we provide a sleeping bag. These need to be requested. Cot linen is not supplied.
