Acacia House is a semi detached Victorian house in the beautiful seaside town of Weymouth with its award winning, safe, sandy and sheltered family beach. With its idyllic leisure harbour, Weymouth sits perfectly alongside the rugged island of Portland. This part of Dorset offers the superb World Heritage Jurassic coastline. So whether you are into outdoor pursuits, some culture or just a good old fashioned family holiday, Weymouth and it's surrounding areas offer something to everyone.

It is an ideal destination to visit for a family holiday with plenty of places to eat and drink, with all year round events, attractions and activities for everyone. Now come and explore our house and what the area has to offer in more detail.

Acacia House is a 3 bedroom period property built in the 1900s. All the rooms are of a good size and as well as a comfortable lounge there is a separate dining room. Recently refurbished it is fully equipped and presented to a high standard. It sleeps up to 6 people and contains all the usual holiday requirements plus many extras. Gas central heating throughout.

At the rear of the house is private parking for one car. There a summer house and BBQ in the well established, fully enclosed garden.

Acacia House is located 10/15 min walk from the town & beach with the Rodwell trail starting opposite the house. Apart from the beautiful sandy beach Weymouth has excellent sailing, fishing, windsurfing and other water sports. There are also many other attractions in the town and historic surrounding area.

A travel cot, high chair, stair gates and other extras are available for young children. Please request in advance of your stay. We also provide a 'Welcome Pack' containing a few basic supplies.

Lounge

A bright airy room with a bay window overlooking the quiet street. This room contains comfortable seating for 6 people, a TV, DVD player, Freeview box and a CD music system. It’s a pleasant room to relax in with the benefit of an electric fire for cooler evenings.

Dining room

A good size room, next to the kitchen, with a garden view. It has large dining table so the whole family can enjoy a meal in comfort. This room also contains a TV, CD music system and a selection of games, books and CD/DVDs. Available on request are a high chair and booster seat.

Kitchen

A fully equipped modern kitchen with oven and hob, microwave, fridge /freezer and extras such as George Forman grill and electric vegetable steamer to make meal preparation easier. There is a good range of utensils, crockery and glass wear. Crockery and cutlery supplied for young children. Access through the back door to the rear garden.

Bathrooms

The main bathroom is situated on the ground floor. A good sized room, fresh and clean with large, shaped bath which includes separate thermostatically controlled shower mixer bar and glass shower door, WC and basin. There is an additional shower room again with thermostatically controlled shower mixer, WC and basin on the upper floor. Two sets of towels are provided per person per week. Both bathrooms newly refurbished for the 2011 season.

Master bedroom

The main bedroom is at the front of the building and has a bay window. This large bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables with reading lights, dressing table with mirror and a wardrobe. It has room for travel cot that can be provided on request (bedding not supplied). Bed linen and towels are provided.

Twin room

The central bedroom is a light and airy room with dual aspect windows looking out into back garden. It contains two single beds, bedside table with reading light, dressing table with mirror and hanging space. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Double Bedroom

Bedroom three is at the rear of the house overlooking the garden and summer house. This room contains a double bed, bedside tables and reading lights, chest of drawers and hanging rail. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Garden

The mature garden is fully enclosed with a lockable gate at the back and front. The rear gate leads to the off road parking. The garden is grassed and gravelled and contains the added extra of a summer house so you can make the most of the summer evenings. A BBQ is also provided for those al fresco meals after a day on the beach.
